What is Queer Reviewed?

Queer Reviewed is an online publication discussing creativity, representation, criticism, and queerness on-stage, specifically focused on the Philadelphia theatre community. Here, you’ll find Reviews, explorational Features, and historical Analyses at the intersection of theatrical expression and queer identity.

Who is Frank Schierloh?

Well, it’s me! I’m a queer theatre artist and critic based in Philadelphia, with over a decade of experience performing & writing about theatre in the region.

My theatre profiles, reviews, and features have been featured in The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Broad St. Review, Phindie.com and more.

In addition, I have served as both a Judge and Nominator for the Barrymore Awards for three years, and was an initial member of the inaugural Theatre Philadelphia Content and Criticism Cohort.

Behind all that, I’m a huge theatre history nerd with a passion for queer representation on-stage and off.
