I'm a Philadelphia based theatre professional, having performed regionally  for the past decade, and as a member of Actor's Equity since 2020.  I live with my husband Ben and our dog Willow, and am currently on the journey to becoming a Dad, which is an adventure all in itself!

As an artist and a queer person, representation and critique of entertainment is something that intrigues and excites me, and I hope to use this site to share my thoughts with other like-minded individuals.

Hi, I'm Frank!

What led to Queer Reviewed?

I've always loved theatre.  So much so, I've made it my career. I've been extremely fortunate to have carved out a life as a performer in the Philadelphia Theatre scene. One of my favorite things to do was to see a show and then discuss it with my friends and colleagues. Talk about the good things and the not so good things. It helped me grasp a better understanding of the art-form.

I've also always loved prestige actresses over the age of 40. And movies. I always did this with movies and TV as well:  I'd sit with friends to discuss and dissect.  It was something that always brought me joy. During the pandemic I started to re-evaluate what I wanted out of my life, as I'm sure many did.  One thing I realized was that I wanted to make this analysis of entertainment a part of my career.

So I started writing, which began with social media reviews of 23 movies that were nominated for Academy Awards. I enjoyed doing it so much that I jumped at the chance to join the first ever Theatre Phildaelphia Content & Criticism Cohort in 2022.  Over the course of six months I attended a series of workshops and completed assignments about them.  I was so invigorated by being a part of TPC&CC that I decided that I would launch my own blog to share my thoughts and opinions about local Philadelphia Theatre productions, as well as the nerdy and exciting films and TV I enjoy experiencing.

...and anything with Cate Blanchett. Honestly, she should have her own category on here.

I'm always looking for new and exciting opportunities.
